blew two coils.......
Ok, so had a stupid moment. Did a compression test on my car and forgot to unplug the dizzy. Smoked the coil. I knew better and it slipped my mind. Any whooooooo, the new coil blew when i was scooting down the highway. So i put another coil in and checked to see when it would blow. Blew the coil the first bump of the revlimiter. Currently scratching my head about what is killing my coil at this point... any knowledge to help me further understand this ignition system would be greatly appericated.

All wiring seems to be intact. And I did not see any that could touch in any way to be improper. The car runs just fine until I hit the revlimiter. Once it bounces once the tach would spike to 8k and the engine would completely die.
replaced icm lately? tach will freak out when it starts to bite the big one.
currently running an airtex icm, reasonably priced with a convincing blurb at rockauto.
