So I picked up 1996 Honda Accord LX 4 door 2.2 Auto from my friend. This car is going to be my wife's "how to" car - how to drive mostly, lol, but I'm planning to keep it, car is in good shape, never been in accident, no rust (we are in California anyway), it does have high mileage - 156000, but considering this car is 21 years old, that is nothing I think
Car has been sitting outside for 3 years, no one ever cared about it, paint is gone, all outside rubber seals are pretty much gone too, tires were brand new 3 years ago, but looks like I need to replace them and so on and so forth
Another issue that it didn't start.... we put full tank of 89, still nothing, so the only way to figure out what is going on was to tow it to the nearest mechanic... we will find out why it wasn't starting on Monday
Couple pics so you know what I'm dealing with
Plan is to make it look, drive, feel and smell like a brand new 1996 Honda Accord I'll be using OEM parts or/and high quality aftermarket part when OEM ones are not available anymore.
Maybe leather seats. Everything will be stock.
Few upgrades - rear sway bar, better front strut bar, maybe rear disc brake conversion, new oem wheels etc.
I'll try to use min amount of aftermarket parts and max of OEM
Radio is missing so I might get stock radio from 2000 civic (if it plug and play) with cd or get a cd changer
All speakers are missing, so need that.
Remove that ebay crap strut bar and muffler tip....
New paint job.. etc etc etc... so many plans I'll be adding more info here
But first thing first, need to send it to mechanic to figure out what is happening with it
