I was going to go outside, but got stuck in a meeting. Outrun's photo pretty well makes up for that. We didn't get anywhere near totality anyway.

 

Looking back I should've went somewhere else as the dealership's lights pretty much took a lot of the darkness away. The lot next door had people shooting fireworks up in the air and what's amazing was that when the fireworks exploded they had a black nucleus just like the eclipse. My camera wasn't able to capture it because it got washed out by the parking lot lights.

 

Traffic was horrible the first hour after the eclipse. I ended up staying at the dealer using their free wifi to post that pic. Rest areas between Albany and Salem were full and closed off by Oregon State Troopers. Despite multiple signs about not parking on the side of the freeway a whole bunch of people parked on the side of the freeway.

 

I got a free pair of eclipse glasses at the library a few weeks ago and I taped it to the lens barrel of my Sony H20 to take this video.
