I got a free pair of cardboard solar glasses at the public library. It's big enough to cover the lens of my Sony WX350 so I can take sun pics but unfortunately there aren't any manual settings on that camera.

What filter did you get? What camera/lens?

Peak or no peak I'll still be going out to take pics of it from time to time. Never know what you might see. Plus I'll be ready for the Nov 2019 transit of Mercury and the next solar eclipse in 2024

Seymour Solar. I ordered it off their web page but I see the prices have increased a bit since I placed my order.
Price will depend on the size of your lens.
