i believe this actually stalls the rear wing on the straights for less downforce. adding more elements stalls the rear wing earlier and at lower speeds for this track.

i mean you're correct in that they can crank up the main wing angle for max downforce in the corners and then these elements stall it for higher top speed on the straights. but the downforce of these elements themselves is negligible

High efficient downforce with minimal impact to the rear wing. The impacts are small and mostly of the undesirable kind, so they would likely be tuned out via geometry and position of the t wing.

His results do not support your hypothesis but I can't say this guy is right either. I would like to hear something from someone moar well known. This guy could know his ****, I just don't know enough about him to say that he does.
