Default Swapped tranny, now clutch cable too short?

I recently put a new junkyard tranny in due to blowing my differential. Tonight I was trying to hook up the clutch cable, and it's as if it is way too short. Even with the adjustment nut all the way up on the cable, the clutch fork on the tranny has to lift all the way up for me to get the cable on.

I replaced an A1 tranny and it's identical to the old one, where the clutch worked fine. How can this be happening?

In the pic below, I have the cable on the clutch fork with it lifted all the way up (clutch disengaged) and you can see how far off from the mounting holes I am with the bracket. What could I be missing? The fork should be all the way down when the pedal is not being pressed.

Ok maybe I am mistaken. I've got a stage 5 clutch, how much force should it take to lift the fork once it touches the pressure plate? Would I be able to do it by hand or no?
