The Official Formula 1 2017 Season Thread
In the heat of the action I then overreacted, and therefore I went to apologise to Lewis directly,
The high and mighty types said so repeatedly doe. Said it would damage the sport.
I've learned that things as big as F1 have lots of inertia in them. They tend to dampen things out so there is very little impact. Same goes for HVAC systems if you wanted to know. Significantly block the airflow over a coil, increase the ambient temps something crazy, etc, and the system behavior changes but not by as much as you would might expect.
Fred didn't get a chance to set a hot lap with the new PU because the McLaren made gearbox decided to stop working. Even so Fed was 11 kph faster than Waffle with the same aero package before he ground to a halt.
As for Seb the HAM nut riders and VET haters on F1T are going nuts lol. Hilarious

Joe SawardThat is insulting to me, so goodbye. You’re not welcome here any longer.
There's a big bike race in France going on. A big name was DQ'd today. I don't approve.
Of course all the F1 journo's are all going "SEE! SEE! THAT'S WHAT WE NEEDED TOO!"
twitter/FB comments must be made by the worst human's evar.

Sagan got a raw deal yeah. At first glance it looks damning because of the angles but I assume that scrapping is pretty standard in the final 200m. Just unfortunate that Cav got dropped for trying to go for a gap that was disappearing and how it looked on TV.
Which is much preferred to my normal way of finding out: turning on NBCSN to watch F1 only to see a bunch of people on bicycles.
Nothing wrong with a little argy bargy, right?
webber has a good idea: instead of grid penalties for component changes, dock constructors points. his point is drivers shouldn't be penalized for car problems
ferrari should have been docked constructors points for that faulty steering system that caused VET to hit HAM twice in the course of a few seconds.
i was wondering about that. i think you'd leave them at 0 officially and then still rank them based on the current system (wins, finishing positions etc)
so a team could win the WDC by bringing a new car to every qualy and race and be dead last in constructors - that would kill them financially.
