Default Date stamp on wheels

Can anyone tell me what number shows the date a wheel was made by the round stamp on the back, is it the bottom number or the top?? Whats the other number put on or do they both show the date such as month / year ?

The wheel i have here is either from 1980 ( top ) or 2006 ( bottom ) ?

Thanks

Those are 1990 date wheels. I'd lean towards a Honda Prelude option (since they were 4x100 back then).

how do you know they are 1990 wheels? just curious to know

no one seems to know exactly what they are or what they have come off, i have spent a couple months trying to track down a model name or a picture of another set and have found absolutely nothing, i think they must be pretty rare

The larger lug nut covers didn't exist in 1980, and were getting phased out as of the early 2000's. Also, having an alloy that was 14x5.5 really didn't exist until mid-80's. The first thing I thought of when seeing the front of the wheel, was an Accord optional wheel design... but they had a slightly different spoke design (where the faces meet the barrel).
