Default 2001 Db8 itr build

so I've attempted to build a usdm version of a db8 type r prior and ended up giving it away to my younger brother to finish and after he did and did things that I didn't like with the itr parts I had I deceided that since money and time are more flexible now, I can start to build my own when I found a good deal on another black clean title shell. I've had the shell two weeks now and planned to take my sweeeeet time with it but started to sell off some unneeded parts and get good deals on other parts I wanted quicker then I thought. Plans include 5 lug and type r or gsr swap but all NYC street legal, passing emissions and clean running wanna go full usdm type r interior with the Jdm db8 rear seats Have a lot of usdm itr parts already. Still need a cluster and a center climate control vent and the passenger side front mat if anyone knows where I can source that cheap

started to swap the interior from tan to black/gray Still need a lot of parts. The last owner was a morons and cut the harness up after he blew the stock motor when he turbo'd it. Such a hack job on the car. He also had his friend take parts off and they left so much stuff off the car and damaged the ds door. I have no choice but to strip this car down and rebuild it completely. It should be fun with my brother but seeing his h2b db8 everyday makes me jealous and wanna finish mines earlier then I planned too lol.

My brothers db8. Both are clean titles. Mines is original vin except for the motor since I have to rebuild or get a new one. His is original clean title vin doors back. Super hard to get as I've been looking for years in NYC now. Lol

Spent the day gutting the rest of the tan interior and seat belts and trying to install as much of my dark interior as possible. Sourced a driver side maroon door to replace damaged door. Back tan deck is a pain to take off. Can't get to all he bolts yet lol and I still need the roof liner and carpet and back dash But glad to throw out all that ugly tan interior

So I'm trying to connect my Jdm db8 itr door panels and I'm having a issue with the door switches on the usdm lhd drive, the Jdm rhd side switches don't line up and my brother side if I connect the Jdm one to my usdm harness that fuses will blow. So can anyone recommend a solution to this?

im trying that but the carbon faux cover isn't lining up. It's popping at the top. I'm prob going to have to cut something down and either glue it to the panel or as my bro suggested, wire tie

Needed the cf driver side vent The rear fog maybe useful Wasn't the plan but I don't mind it. No need for the tails but spare parts can never hurt

yeah I know that but the rhd Jdm cover doesn't line up with the usdm lhd switches. I have to jigha rig something to fit flush the way it should be My brother brother or off all the underneath pieces but now it won't screw in. He had to glue it down. I don't wanna do that but I'll try to cut off one piece and run a wire tie from inside the panel

One problem. Solved. Cut off one of the screw mounts and wire tied it down through a lop It will do with out me having the glue it down.

totally got lucky. Sold some 2dr 01 mirrors to a guy who had them but he needed suspension for his coupe. We traded for a set of tokiko shocks and tien springs my brother had spare These aren't the one with the tweeters though. My bro has those and I kinda want em seeing as I bought the panels for when I was building his car 5 years ago

oooo she was bad af but I have a feeling her cousin tried to take my car, whenever I meet him after that he was always asking me questions about my security system and where I hung out. Smh lol. I sold the car to a friend and it was stolen from him in bk and found on the bx Bc un beknown to me it had a gps security device in it from the previous owner to me and the cops tracked it down in the bx only missing the radio and 98 cloth rear seats I had in it. My boy got lucky I guess

ooooo I got that to fit flush by using a wire tie around some lops from the inside so that I won't see any wire tie and it's easily removed if I need to while still being flush I meant pics of the car though lol If only for inspiration lol
