each car is guaranteed 1 attempt and can opt for more if there's time and whether / not they want to keep or discard their first try. if they scrap their first time then they get priority in line. if they want to keep it then they have to wait in a longer line.

I believe back in the day you could make up to 3 attempts but each additional attempt wiped out your last one. You have 2 warm up laps to decide if you want to go for it and discard your time. First time in years I have Memorial Day Sun off and will be home. Must admit am excited to watch Monaco and then Indy.

I'm not sure why they messed with it so much. The old way was pretty damn exciting, so much so that certain high profile teams occasionally failed to qualify!

I think they will get some drying as this stuff moves north but then I think there could be some stronger development as the warm front lifts north and instability increases. 80+ is not far south of the front which looks likes like it is just into into southern IN.

I think half the country could say that lol. Warm front causing the rain in Indy extends off the East coast near the NC/VA border (turns into a cold front east of the mountains). Is supposed to drop south and bring us some convection this evening. The storm's cold front stretches south down to Esty. Only Falcon and Outrun are not being affected by it.
