weight savings mostly. The top brackets replace the OEM ones that tend to bend and warp over time causing gaps in front end.

I saw this on "Down Since 85's" DAP Civic this weekend. Nice piece.

In tearing this down further, I've found **** parts were used to do the 99-00 conversion. All BNIB OEM parts have been ordered from AutoFair Honda. Some jdm goodies have been ordered from ICB.
