Also Mugen Power badge is nostalgic for me. It was the first ricey thing I added to my first Honda

 

Also, front wing contains only 2 elements. I bet these cars even pass on track.

So what's the purpose of a single cylinder dyno? Is it cheaper?

 

1 is less than 6, so yes.

 

my understanding is you do all your combustion development on a single cylinder dyno so you can compare it to your models / simulation. it's impossible to correlate everything once you have more than one chamber igniting and pushing on the crank. fuel, airflow, torque etc.

but that is a completely different effort from integrating and packaging a complete engine.

it's pretty hard to believe that honda could fail to scope and plan this effort so comprehensively - for three years now. this is some serious minor league ****.

Front straight is 1/2 mile long. Daaaaaaaaang. That's just about the same length as the front straight at Sepang.

 

Mexico, Baku, China, and Yas Marina are listed as having 1200m straights. That's about 3/4 of a mile or 3900 feet. Road America's straight is about 4300 feet or so. I believe Fuji's straight is one of the longest ever used in F1 at 1475m or 9/10 of a mile.

 

turtles wont be in Mexico, Baku or Chiner doe.

This weekend's 24 hours of lemon party will be at New Jersey motorsports park's THUNDERBOLT circuit!
