The Official Formula 1 2017 Season Thread
Only McLaren could make an Indycar look better than a Grand Prix car.
Took my fat self up to COTA for a bike ride yesterday. I know, I know. Greyout takes videos beating on Bimmer's and Honda two-thousands and what not and I'm just a sausage on two wheels, but still it was fun. Turn 1 can suck my *****. Has a little 14% kick up at the apex supposedly. I believe them.

"I arrived in Turn 1 and I was convinced that I was doing flat out, but the foot was not flat - it had its own life, it was not connected to my brain at that moment.
"On the second or third lap I was able to do it, but on the first lap it was definitely a very good feeling to be able to feel the respect of the place, the respect of the car, the respect of the speed. For any racing driver that feeling is pure adrenaline, so it was a good day."
"They ask you if you are ready inside the car, you say yes, you switch on the car and you go. In Formula 1 it takes maybe six minutes to fire up the car, because they need to check, recheck, there is so much technology there. Many things slow down every run. Here, it's more fun because you just switch on the engine and you race."

FA seems to be enjoying this experiment.
I am happy about that. F1 x Indy Car crossover seems fun. I've always heard the fan experience at Indy Car races is ace, so some of that influence on F1 could be positive.

i do remember wandering through the garage before the race at Texas motor speedway and asking a mechanic about the telemetry traces on his laptop, he stopped and pointed out water temp, TPS etc.
