Boost or not to boost (brakes)

Default Boost or not to boost (brakes)

I am installing rear discs on my 93 Del Sol and was wondering what if I took off booster and ran 2 masters as in a race car with a balance bar? What would be good? What would be bad? Defiantly would clean up the engine compartment. Other ideas or thoughts?

What size masters did you use front/back and by who? I most likely would prefer to hang in stead of floor.

I didn't do it. I said xtrac1 is doing it. You use the same size master for both and the balance bar adjusts the bias. MC size would depend on pedal ratio, brake piston size, and brake piston travel (essentially a volume calc and force inpout/output calc).

You can set them up however you want based on preference and the depths of your pockets/fabrication skills.

The brake system I designed/redesigned for my formula SAE team had the masters below the pedals. Best picture I could find:
