What are your goals for the car that would require running a T4 frame turbo and still having the luxury of AC/PS? Are you trying to build an 800+hp daily?

log would be your bet bet, can be done with a ram horn but much harder to accomplish

gt30 series barely fit with the way the turbo has to be angled, a t4 would just be too much for a off the shelf manifold

yea I was thinking he wanted a t3/t4 turbo.

T4 turbo is to big for a street car anyway, I would consider that a drag only type of deal considering you can make 800+ on a t3/t4 turbo

so i just got of the phone with sheepeybuilt and they have a manifold that is ac/ps compatiable but they are saying i would have to go with vband style turbo to be able to use there manifold, they suggested a pt6266 it's kinda expensive price is about 1900 for that turbo..if i could spend 1200 or so i rather that but s reliable turbo. and my goal is to be about 450-500 hp but i don't want a turbo that maxes out at 500..i don't want it spooling to early or to late, kinda something in between maybe right before vtech kicks in

Why do you need a T4 sized turbo for 450-500hp?

A T4 6266 for 500whp will be lag for days without any real upside. Run something smaller like a Borg Warner S256 or Garrett GT30r. It'll easily make the power you want, will be significantly less laggy and is easier to fit into the tight confines of keeping AC/PS.

You do not need a T4 framed turbo for your goals

Yeah, well, you definitely don't need something as large as a 62mm turbocharger for that power level and behaviour. You're still looking good at a tubular log, or actually the Go-Autoworks RR A/C Turbo manifold as the best choices.

GO-AUTOWORKS RR Turbo Manifold AC Compatible D16 B16 B18 Civic Integra Del Sol Mini Ram

This isn't the RR A/C Photo, and it's large , but you get the point...

The compressor cover is going to still face the U.S. Passenger side fender, but a T3/T04E turbocharger capable of about 58-60lbs/min will fit nicely there. If you can find a nice T04B capable of the same power level and behaviour, that's even better, as you won't have to worry about grinding the block.

But a 62mm is lunacy. Sheepey's about big power, not necessarily street power.

Here are a few better examples of what I mean with the "Mini-ram"

T04B 58lbs/min

T04E about 58-60lbs/min

Notice how close the T04E compressor cover size is closer to the block, where some block grinding may be required.

A tubular log can work as well, as shown with this person. (This is using a T04B compressor cover.... not a T04B Turbo) that's a different size thing altogether.

And to show you that 450whp-500whp is very possible for that manifold:

So, you do have some choices to make regarding a better manifold, without going for HUGE turbo and HUGE manifold to make a reasonable amount of power. If anything, you get more torque, which is what you actually want more of. not power.

Hope that helps a bit.

i really like that garret gt3076!!! and manifold you can suggest that is ac friendly. cuz the one i was looking at is v band only and the gt3076 is t3 flange

omg that helps so much i appreciate that so much ima go with that setup and i'm thinking about going with that garret gt3076!! now is to find the best manifold for me with that style! thanks a lot!

Those examples don't use a GT3076R, but if you decide to use that, it's not a bad idea. There's a few things to remember if you go with that choice with either manifold:

1) The GT3076R compressor cover is a bit larger than a standard T04E compressor cover using a 4.08" inlet instead of the standard 3" inlet, even though they both have the same A/R size. You'll definitely be shaving the webbing off if using this on a tubular log manifold.

So, it would look like this (in the way of fitment) on that A/C compatible version of the Go-Autoworks "Mini-Ram"

2) The GT3076R is about 52lbs/min, but with a really nice turbine wheel profile, so they can push harder than their specifications, and will perform in the way you're looking for it to behave as well.

3) Use of water lines and special restrictors are needed for that turbocharger. So, make sure that you get water lines for that turbo and the GT flanges.

4) You want the banjo style water line kit, as the width of the CHRA is narrower than your standard T3/T4. You'll have a helluva time using a water line kit that using 90* elbows on there, without special tools.

See how cramped it is?

5) Yes.. you must use the water lines if you want that turbo to last.

Check the STC Silver Surfer turbo. Comes in a t04b compressor housing, is Garrett based and flows a bit more than the Garrett gt3076.
