Ugh I hate red interiors. To me it looks cheap and trashy, like a bordello.

However that's just my opinion. I hope you get the S2K YOU want. Good luck!

Thanks turkey. I can see your point, but have you seen a white or silver 911 with a red interior. Much sexy.

I have and it just doesn't work for me. I was watching the Gran Tour episode with the Fiat roadster that is based on the Miata chassis. White with black hood. I was loving it until I saw the red interior. Every shot of the interior made me cringe. Just how I am. I could never own a car with a red interior but I won't judge someone with one either lol. I'm not really a huge fan of red anyway so there is that.

Spa 88. MP4/4 through Eau Rouge with Senna at the wheel. Does F1 get any better than that?

Also want to add I hate the new Spa even more now that I have been watching the '88 race.

my first was the '79 Delta 88 maroon with red interior. I can still hear the BUZZZZZZZ of the key in ignition before you turn it over namsayin.

damn that was a floatey steering rack. took more than a tank of gas a week to drive to high school. mine had a pontiac 305 in it because they ran out of whatever small block was supposed to be in there. could fit a couple dead bodies in the trunk doe. what year did your roof liner start sagging down and brush your head? don't forget to pump the accelerator once on a cold start. don't do it warm or you'll flood it!

when the doors, trunk, and chrome rear bumper rusted out my dad and i went to the junk yard to get new ones. i had to swap out the power windows for the cranks shown. the scissor lift mechanism had different mount points than the power window motor so i had to drill holes to mount it there were little indents in the stamped sheet metal to show where to drill. i still have scars on my hands and wrists from working inside those goddamn doors. i never painted it so the trunk and 3 of the four doors were different colors when we sold it. light green and gray and maroon. i got a pic somewhere. radio shack 6x9s in the rear deck with a Realistic receiver with nine inch nails in the tape deck. it was a hideous car in many ways and i loved it.

when i was a toddler, i sat on that red armrest shown. no seatbelt. my parents would reach their arm out to keep me from going into the dash.

the door sill had a stamped logo on it that said Body by Fisher

same on both counts.

Mine didn't have the Olds engine either. Chevy 350. The car seemed quite quick despite it's large mass.

GM did funny stuff with the engines. The Trans AMs in the mid to late 70s (think Bandit eras) used a mix of Pontiac and Olds engines. The 4 speed cars used 400 cid Pontiac engines while automatics used 403 cid Olds engines. I believe the shaker scoop for the 400 cid motor had a 400 sticker while the 403 cid Olds had 6.6L on the scoop

LOL

The movie is eh but the chance to see the cars, the drivers, the tracks...hell Ferrari even allowed them to shoot parts of the movie inside the real Ferrari factory. That stuff is priceless.

Jackie Stewart isn't credited but there is a driver with a white helmet that has a tartan stripe around it.

I hadn't heard about this one...

Alfa Romeo 164 Procar

In 1988, Alfa Romeo produced the 164 Pro-Car featuring a mid-engine layout and powered by a 3.5-litre V10 engine. This unusual powerplant was originally planned to be used by the Ligier F1 team and produced 620 bhp (462 kW; 629 PS) at 13300 rpm and 39 kg·m (380 N·m; 280 lb·ft) of torque at 9500 rpm.[15] Weighing only 750 kg (1,653 lb), the 164

Pro-Car achieved a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph) and went quarter of a mile (~400 m) in only 9.7 seconds.[15] It was planned to race in a special racing series, as a support event to Formula One Grands Prix. With Alfa Romeo being the only manufacturer to produce a car for this series, the project was ultimately cancelled. Only one rolling chassis with the Alfa Romeo V10 was built and by Motor Racing Developments Ltd.,[15] the company behind the Brabham Formula One team, which was owned by Alfa Romeo at the time.

My coworker and her daughter borrowed my Driven DVD a few weeks ago and they thought it was outrageous, especially the racecars in Chicago scene and all the crashes (especially the Memo Moreno crash), as well as crappy CGI. Also, Jacques Villeneuve supposedly makes an appearance and I've yet to see him. =P
