2013/ EK Drag Build
I don't post here much anymore, but I figured I would comment on this thread..
Currently using a single 3 port on this car, and you're probably not going to make 45+ psi on a 62mm . This car is on a PTE 6870 now..
For what its worth, my 62mm 8.6x car doesnt make that much boost at any event.

My overall goal is to be able to have an extra amount of PWM cycle left over to use the quick spool and taper in boost if need be
Thanks man, Joe was telling me you got the new gear set and the same turbo I am running. I think with that combo your going to be where I'm at. The strain gauge and the new turbo alone just knocked .6 tenths off my time this weekend. Oh and of course the guy behind the laptop LOL.
Yeah new gear set for me with a slightly taller FD than yours, PTE6870 and some weight reduction for my little piggie this winter. What A/R exhaust housing are you using on your setup?

The guy behind the laptop is a crackpot! He puts unicorn pictures on my Motec layout and tells me it's his spirit animal!

So on Tuesday, I started prepping the car for webcam pro's, pulled the head off the car and got while I was cleaning everything up Joe and I went to pull the cam gears off my skunk2 pro 1's and got the first one off and Joe was tapping the other cam gear off when this happened.
So the last event after I made a pass I was cooling the motor down when I noticed the intake cam gear bolt was gone. I was happy because at some point in the pass the cam bolt backed out or something and I was happy the cam gear didn't come off. So before this event doubled checked the cam gear bolts and even had Joe put locktight on the bolts. During the event no problems but taking the cam gear off this happened, I'm think the reason the bolt may have backed out last event was because the cam cracked. Maybe not too bad but enough for the bolt to slip out, after this event with a little tapping on the cam gear it just broke the rest off. I was lucky LOL

See if I can A. Get the car to run consistently in the 8's and B. Shoot for 8.7's LOL
Your spirit animal is the Blunicorn, mine is not. I'm pretty sure you just like the horn.

Well after pulling the head, basically the entire valve train was replaced. Valves, valve springs, retainers, locks, and seals along with the new cams were installed and I finished putting the remainder of the car back together yesterday.
