The couple of times that I traded messages with him outside of here, he seemed like a cool dude.
In other news, I have a random request from you guys. Does anyone have a junky old driver's side headlight around? I finally got around to the retrofit over the weekend (despite being annoyingly sick), only to find the reason I always had trouble adjusting the left one:
The shitty part is that there were no bits in the housings, which means that the tab was broken at the manufacturer and ended up in a box on my front porch anyway. F'ing aftermaket housings...
I tried to make it work with some epoxy and aluminum and it work just long enough to trick me into thinking I'd get away with it. Oh well.
I may just order another from Amazon before I go to bed. We'll see.
We all said the same thing to each other. It was bitter sweet. He was definitely a cool dude. As for the HL, I have a 96-98 if you need it, but the other posts suggest you need a 99-00. Worst case if you do not, or have not got one, I can pull one for you at the j yard.
My update, nothing special. Just adding some trinkets to the "ek" collection

LOL Thanks Jacob. I've always liked them, but I've never owned one. When I saw this one it was so clean. I had to buy it. It turns out the seller forgot about me for some wks. but when he remembered me he gave me a deal no one would pass up.

Also nice to see clean parts go off to good homes. I've never thought about cluster swapping, as I can think of things that my money needs to go towards, but there is something about the 10k tech that just makes a guy pay attention.

HAHAHA. True Jacob, I think it's that as well as the colors and CF trim. You're right, something about the package is luring.
I keep lying to myself and others, LOL. I need HELP! Parts anonymous?
So just yesterday or was it the day before? IDK. I was talking with my wife and somehow we began talking about the sedan. While we were conversing, I expressed, that besides a new set of wheels ( after I sold some rims - to afford my dream set of wheels and move onto the next car project ) I wouldn't be buying anything else for the sedan. Somehow, after a failed deal, about a wk or so ago, the same style J's replica type hood landed on plate. Cheaper and closer. Low and behold I found myself up early this morning, driving to purchase it. hehe

HAHAHA Dope!!! Funny how rice we are these days, right? Years ago people would be making fun of all these wide body, flare kits - vented hood craze shenanigans that is now storming the nation.

But the difference here is you guys have actual track cars that need aero, cooling, and clearance. Rice was cosmetic for no other reason.

Heard that. I ended up spending a week on mine when I did it. It was worth the effort though. I spent a lot of extra time integrating it all into the factory harness.
