Gonna take him 3-5 years if you look at what he said in an interview released months ago. I wonder if he will pretty much work on undoing most of the changes for 2017.

Guess it depends what they want. I'm not sure how close they can make the racing. Aero can't be unlearned and if you start pulling wings and other aero stuff off the car you go backward as far as the F1 image and being a tech series. Maybe a spec active suspension that can alter the car's pitch as they get closer to another car to maintain downforce levels could work, but would that be considered artificial, like DRS?

Of course this assumes Todt and the FIA allow the changes that Ross suggests...

 

That series is in its death throws. The expansion in to late 90s took it to places that, for the most part, found it a novelty and then after 5 min the novelty wore off and locals didn't give a ****. They have been alienating the core fans for years to try and get fair weather fans. I used to watch every race. I don't think I watched more than 10 laps last year. There are much better seris to watch when I have time.

 

I didn't have the heart to tell him that wasn't a real person in the last pic. He was sooo excited to take a pic with a racecar driver lol.

 

NASCAR does not need more road courses. That's like saying F1 needs more ovals

NASCAR needs at least 2 moar real road courses on the schedule and I don't mean rovals either. Real road courses. Also need to go back to N. Wilkesboro and someone needs to build a new short track in the shape that Richmond used to be. Also need to go back to Rockingham. That's only for starters. Lots moar issues need to be resolved too.

I had the same wild thought about Sebring lol. Road Atlanta wood be awesome but so wood COTA.

NASCAR on road course is the only thing I'll watch. And that's already a big if.
