So recently I have been noticing a lot of ITR parts being discontinued by Honda. I can understand that due to the age of the car. I also know that there is still a strong aftermarket support but there are just some things that should be OEM only. So from the OG's to the newbies... What ITR specific things would you stock up on? What would you buy now "just in case..." ?
x2 on this thread. I have been thinking the same as I plan on keeping my car for the foreseeable future. I have stashed away a few new OEM things :
- decals & badges
- o/s 11:1 pistons and rings
- one of those hot topic carbon radio delete panels
- shifter bushings
- cap, rotor, plugs and brake pads (can't see them being hard to get though)
Also grabbed some used OEM parts:
- Recaros
- rear seat
- Steering wheel
- Front lip
- Centre caps
- Windscreen
- Rear strut brace
- "Carbon" plug cover (hardly critical, just wanted it)
Would also consider getting new OEM:
- Front rotors (96 spec seem to be somewhat hard to get)
- Window mouldings
- Front lip
- Suspension bushes
- Rocker cover
- Key
I'm less worried about mechanical parts as I feel as they will be produced longer and are easier to get used. Interested to hear what everyone thinks though.
Also what parts are people needing that have been discontinued?
-The hood emissions sticker is discontinued and would be great to pick up if possible for people that have Jdm fronts and are in california or states that require this for smog.
-I have a spare new mid-pipe. Seems like a cool thing to have.
Would be interested to see what others say that is important to get now.

how do I find the hood emission sticker? My car has a JDM front without it.
+1 on this thread! I'm stocking up on the badge and decals as well (will need a new decal set after paint too so might have to get 2 sets).
Items I have on hand after replacing with performance mods/parts
* USDM Exhaust Manifold (no heat shield though)
* USDM Steering Wheel with airbag intact
Other R specific items that are discontinued/or hard to find in mint condition
* Titanium shift **** (54102-ST7-Z00) can still buy new from dealer for $200+
* OEM Integra Car Covers (08P34-ST7-201) super hard to find and I've had very little luck
* Enkei 7 spoke wheels (Kaiser Silver Metallic) (42700-ST7-A61) plenty of used ones around still

I just bought the center console armrest since mine is a bit hard and worn and I wasn't sure how well I could restore it via cleaning. I was surprised it is still available. I've also stocked up on emblems and stickers for if/when I repaint.

The chap's not leaving anything to chance alright.
I've noticed over the years of reading classic car magazines that when cars go "classic" what is always damned hard to find down the line are the interior trim bits and bobs. Original mats and carpets get extremely rare over time. External badges and decals seem to prove an issue too. Items that are more likely to get taken out in minor "incidences" like bumpers and lights can also be a problem.
Items that get handled the most are always ideal to have spares of. Pedal covers, steering wheel, shift ****, floor mats, seat covers, high-use switches. If you have new-spares of those items, then the trick to care for everything else is simply never to actually touch it. Door panels are a big one. People that hang their arm out the window while driving or rest their elbow on, will find their door panels have lost texture & become permanently glossy where their arm rests. Switches are another. Typically the switches that get used the most will have a greasy smooth shiny appearance. The acids in your skin wear these surfaces to a smooth gloss finish over time. The less you actually touch them, the longer they will stay looking "new".

Where did you get that, I tried ordering it yesterday and they said it was not available..
Thanks man, ended up finding the part number and called in a favor at Acura, got it for cheapy cheap FTW
How cheap? I've seen them online for $130ish. I'd probably invest in a new one if it's cheaper (like under $100 shipped) since my alcantara is worn down like leather. I've used dilluted woolite to try to get it back but it's stilll not as soft as it use to be.

I want to get a replacement as well, how hard is it to swap my current badge onto the new one?

Definitely not that cheap lol. I couldn't find them online for less than $165 plus shipping

Not hard at all, there are 4 screws holding the plastic mounting bracket to the actual armrest. Once you have that off there are 3 very fragile plastic dowels on the badge which slide through the armrest, 2 of which have small metal retainers. Carefully snip the retainers making sure not to break the plastic dowels. The badge will then slide out.
Even before I had purchased my ITR a couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to get most of the seat covers before they were discontinued never letting these beauties go
