Well...this is what I'll be working on this winter season. I need to get it road ready for my lil sister. This was handed down from another sibling in the family. It has a strong b20 in there, automatic will need to be rebuild (don't care about 5spd chatter, no time to teach a young buck how to drive). 98-01 front end

Started working on rear suspension of the db7. Got lucky with 1 bolt...phew...




The rear passenger side removal was being held up because of this one stubborn bolt...THANK GOD I didn't have to break out the sawzall.

just pick another db7 with front
slowing replacing part left n right since it a theft recovery shell.
Anyway pick from the day i got it to now
as u can see in the picture
paint was dull and full of greasy finger print that wouldnt come off unless i do 3stage of buffing. also im really picking about db. Gotta have straight body no stupid wavy rear quarter from shitty roll.
I recently sold my eg ferio inspired build and pick this up for good deal.

 

My tumbler came in, I picked up walnut grinds from the pet store. I had my rear suspension bolts in the tumbler overnight and wow. I'm waiting for my zinc coating items to come in and we'll see how the weekend goes. I need to get started on the front suspension so hopefully all goes well.

 

this is where I left it for the night, I miss some bolts so those are getting zinc tonight

 

So pissed....got everything back together on the driver side and realized I don't have the dust cover for the rear axle nut....gotta order it cuz no one around here has it in stock.

Sigh....well back to work now that the holiday season is over, although chinese new yrs is around the corner. I gotta back the tacoma out of the garage and re-center the db7 again to work on the front suspension.

Waiting for additional suspension parts to come in. Moved on to working on the exhaust. Removed headers and cat converter. **** needs to be replaced and new gaskets put in.

 

header work is done and cleaned as best I can, new rack and pinion arrived, waiting for powersteering pump o-ring kit and bearing to come in. all bushings are replaced, well I still have to pick up the front lca's but they should be done anyways.

 

pump rebuilt, some honda parts arrived, gonna work on re-installing the rack and pinion, pressure hose, magnefine filter. All tomorrow.
