How much do they usually charge and how do they price you? Its the weekend and they're not open so I have to wait until Monday to call and ask. Just trying to figure out it goes.

That was a couple of years ago. IIRC i sent them ~60lbs of hardware and they clean/tumbled/plated it for about $200. Sorry I don't have more specifics than that, I did it all through my work email at my old job. The shop was Seminole Metal Finishing in Altamonte Springs, FL.
Other times I've had parts for the race car or whatever that I was able to send down the street to the plater near my work, they would put it with other runs and do electroless nickel, hard coat anodizing, whatever for next to nothing, but they were a vendor for us and I sent them a lot of my work projects.

Hard part about the LHD 99+ platform is that the ViRS interior was only available in Europe, and they didn't get the electronic climate control double din. So...you either use your radio bezel and climate controls and loose the center vent, or you convert back to 96-98 blower assembly and mechanical controls, or, you rig something up to put them both together, but there are no factory parts to make them all play nice. I'm bouncing around the idea of making a replacement housing for the electronic controls, to fit in the 96-98 dash opening, and can certainly work on making two. This way we can swap out the 99-00 bezel with the proper EDM with the control for the center vent.
You can always just put in the center vent from the 99-00 RHD and the dash bezel, but then it doesn't look quite right against the dash.
This is also assuming you plan on doing all the OEM dash and plastics swap. If you plan on using a dye like Joel did on your OEM parts, then completely ignore my rambling.

Just thought about the amt of bolts I would need to send off to zinc, includes my civic, the db7, and a tacoma. I might as well just do them myself, gotta learn.

My tumbler came in, I picked up walnut grinds from the pet store. I had my rear suspension bolts in the tumbler overnight and wow. I'm waiting for my zinc coating items to come in and we'll see how the weekend goes. I need to get started on the front suspension so hopefully all goes well.

Do you have a link to the tumbler that you purchased? I'm not sure about going the route of plating, but it might be nice to clean up some brackets during the reassembly process. I'm sure that between all the SoCal guys here, it'll get passed around.

Its actually cool that you have your crew to share the expense of zinc plating. Poor me living alone here in Austin....

I was just thinking the same thing. I honestly have no idea what I'm gonna be making power wise, but...it should be able to get out of it's own way...FINALLY!!!

Ahh..forgot you had a custom intake manifold made. I recall you posting the j swap picture a while back.
All zinc plating material are in, will need to custom make holding brackets for the bolts and the zinc. Today I just replace both trailing arm bushings myself with a hammer, wasn't so bad if it weren't for my neck injury. Now to head back to home depot to get some more stuff.

Yeah...it's been too long assembling and collecting parts and having stuff built and rebuilt. Harness goes back to get rebuilt soon, with new sensors, changing sensor locations, adding a button input wire (something fun planned for this), and then having a "chassis harness" built with just flying leads so that I can plug it into a switch bank and preprogram the computer, while plugged into the motor and trans, and check all the sensors. If I get really bored, fuel cell with a pump and return and technically I'd be able to fire the motor, but...that's just overkill.
