i have a 97 dx im swapping a b18b into i have a p06 ecu thats chipped for hondata s200 i have a wire with 4 wires one end plugs into the ecu and the other goes to the hondata but the are bare wires i need to know where to get a plug to plug into my hondata box and where to get my plug for the set button and the clutch switch for 2 step also where could i get the data-log cord and the software to tune my s200 is there anything else i need oh and i read to clip j12 do i need to do that also thankyou

 

im reading the hondata installation document and it says solider in j1 while my j1 is cut is it supposed to be?

 

also in the installation guide its showing a connector from the chip in the ecu thats going to the laptop for datalogging do i need to data log or can i just tune using my hondata and afr gauge?

 

You need to read on Hondata's forum all the locked S200 threads.
You would need an emulator, and chip burner to tune an S200.
And a rom editing software from Hondata.( not sure if available anymore)
Not to mention the cable(s)
A Keyspan usb/serial converter is recommended to interface with the box, and I remember something about a special cable they used to sell, but nothing S200 is supported anymore.
You could try Ebay for the parts. (push button and clutch switch)
I have them and mine won't work, cant set two step or vtec changeover.
I think tuner locked it or something.
They want us to upgrade.

You can upgrade from hondata s100 or s200 to s300:

the registration platform for RE4 isnot supported anymore,
Hondata will let you send in your s200 and $399 to upgrade to a basic s300 -_-
you can still download it though, i know here in the midwest KING wants $350 just to setup s200 to your specific vehicle, because its a pain in the *** i havent even gotten datalog to work on my own if i can find the disc s200 came with i would be able to write up a huge thread for everyone to learn how to do the setup themselves if there semi tech savi.

for both my vehicles i picked up a burn2 and read PGMFI.Org for a few hours jacked up on coffee and came across wiki bin dump files for CROME with preset user created maps and went through and edited them to my preferences and have 2 reliable vehicles off custom basemaps, it definetly isnt for everyone but it sure was time consuming and fun learning new tricks of the trade.

i put over 8000miles on my boosted d16 last year even driving 2 hours to WIR for RSD running some passes and drove it back home with no issues

 

OK not trying to thread jack just a quick question. im about to put hondata on my p72 and ill need a laptop with a cd rom. any suggestions? im trying to find one at a pawn shop but if you have suggestions on a certain one to look for id be happy. this will be my tuning laptop.

Just head to Newegg and get a refurbished Business laptop. In many cases, they even have an operating system already installed with a usable limited warranty. Pawn shops are never a place to get a laptop that actually functions

I have a tablet that hooks into a keyboard but it got wet and the keyboard isnt working so I need to order a new keyboard but im not sure if it will work because the whole thing got wet. The tablet still work though, but there isn't any usb ports... I have a desktop at work but im not sure how they would react to see me at work tuning my car haha! but thank you sir!!

 

Phone /Tablet or "Phablet". Still won't have the capability and RAM capacity a good laptop will (for the next couple of years, at least, unless it's a Surface Pro).
The Tablet getting wet so that you can't use the tablet with the keyboard was the Car Gods' way of telling you to use something more practical for your solution so you have less headache later.
