Merc's F1 team and Nico aren't really German. Nico is the third "German" WDC in the last 20 years - 11 of which were won by Schumacher and Vettel, so by now the Germans are over the novelty.

All you had to do was look at the stands this year and realize the writing was on the wall.
Not to mention the spectacle is significantly diminished with the current turbo-hybrid era.
Plus what Tim said. Germans have juan over 50% of the titles available since Schumacher juan his first. (12/23 to be exact)
it looks like they are playing the entire 2010 season, hungary is just starting. it's bbc and it was one of their best years so the pre-race shows are fantastic
