Yes, I've seen a green one. The rotors move relatively slow, even slower than a two-bladed Huey. It was hauling some logs...might've been for power lines.

 

Yeah they are super slow but have amazing lift capability. The rotors are made of wood. 1 tree produces 2 full rotors so they are of the same density. The rotors are hollow, have control surfaces (ie flaps) and there are no hydraulics in the aircraft. Rotors cost a million dollars

We had 3 of em on the fire. I think there were only 50 made and not all of them are still flying.

This one started up when we were waiting for our recon flight.
