I miss the good ole days too, but Ill keep making threads here. Its a great way to document things and share info. I wont stop coming back on here, so much info available.
Not a whole lot other than just cleaning/driving it. I had the exhaust put on finally, added a Vibrant resonator and have a Magnaflow high flow cat I still need to get put on also. Sounds alright without a cat, but still way too raspy for my taste. If the cat doesn't fix it I'll be changing out my 10 year old WS2 muffler for Vibrant stealth or some other quiet oval muffler.
Got any exhaust shop recommendations in the OKC metro? I've been looking to redo mine from super cannalope launcher to something significantly less raspy..

I guess I'm a hypocrite, honestly. I created this new username and stopped posting updates to my build thread. :-/

Thanks man! I'm really happy with how it turned out even though I don't have rad gold zinc bolts on mine. Someday I'm going to get a giant box together to have coated though. I found a place a couple hours away that will do it for a few cents a bolt. I'll keep my thread going until this site ceases to exist someday.

I have used performance muffler in Norman and the guy used a blow torch and welding rod. Not exactly nice.... The best one I've found so far is on SW89th and Shields by the big Crossroads church. Super nice younger guy owns it and does good work. If you want super legit welds and stainless everything check out PAD in Edmond. They back up to Dave Comstock's shop and do all his fab and a bunch of fab for other crazy cars in the area. His prices are reasonable also.

YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM 94BlackSi! People like you are why we can't have nice things. Go update your thread now!
I should probably post more I have always liked your car and been creeping in here for a while just looking. I parted out my crx a year or so ago but think I will be picking up something soon enough to start messing with soon. Hopefully the people who stayed are the good ones and the rest moved on to Subarus

I thought I wanted to move on to Subarus and had my wrx three years and honestly hated it. The build quality especially in the interior drove me insane. It looked awesome, handled awesome and sounded amazing, but as my primary vehicle it sucked.
I think they're nice vehicles for sure and still have a soft spot for an 02-03' or an 05' STI but their owners have ruined them for me. Anxious to see some updates on your car. your parts choices and attention to detail have always been real nice
God I love seeing photos of everything going on. Also nice garage man, I live in an apartment so my garage space is laughable.
Glad you enjoy it. I'll keep my slr pictures for only Honda tech. When we bought our house my only request was a three car garage or room for a future shop and a big flat driveway. The civic having its own bay is really nice. I had a small one car for a while too, so I know how that is.

Have to diagnose a fuel pump/wiring issue and I promise I'll get 1080 video on YouTube of the first startup and post it.

Thanks man. 12ish years working on this car. I'll never give up on it or sell it.

Thanks! I'm super happy with how it came out and how it looks in the bay.
I havent worked on mine because my friend that lets me keep my car at his place to work on had to get his race car ready for world cup. Now that the event is done we should be able to knock out the rest of my stuff pretty easy
I love the look of the OEM intake. As for which one makes more power, the 3" cold air is going to win on that. I wouldnt let that be a deciding factor, plus they seem to be easy enough to swap out

That makes sense. The videos from WCF were pretty awesome. That Speed Factory rocket ship racing the turbo Trans Am was so awesome!
I want to get a Comptech icebox to have a stockish look. Almost OEM, but not quite and makes more power than a stock airbox. It's easy to swap back and forth too. I honestly just used zip ties to hold the cai tube up so I can swap it in and out quickly.... I got my Spoon N1 axle back this weekend as well. It was modified for a sedan, so have to get it shortened, but that should be pretty cool too.
Sounds like a plan, good to have options so you can change out and not get bored. I had a CT icebox in my 99 civic, it was pretty nice for sure.
Yeah the grey TA was with the group i went up with along with a yellow turbo TA and my friends white turbo TA. That is the only race I look forward to every year. Its nuts

I've always wanted a carbon "whale *****" intake too for some reason. Might pick one of those up eventually.
I know a few local guys from here went and said it was crazy how many insane cars show up to that race.
I thought it was pretty cool to see the progression of my bay over the years. When I picked it up I thought the bay looked pretty good which is hilarious now when I go back and look at these pictures.
Been following along on IG, love this car. Personally I like the look of the flat black cai you were using on the ls. That bay looks so clean either way though.

Thanks man! I still have that intake hanging around the garage somewhere too that I can switch out.
Ready for the most derp thing ever as to why my car wouldn't allow the fuel pump to prime with the key.... I had the jumper harness and EK9 ECU plugged in to the factory ecu plugs instead of to my new Rywire harness plugs. I was trying to send power to a non-existent engine harness...... DUUURRRRRRR. Going to prime the oiling system and crank her up tonight. I'll take a video to upload to youtube later.
Hey at least it was something easy. Looks top notch Chris
The saga continues... My fancy AN fuel line leaked fuel all over everything from the swivel. Getting that replaced under warranty. The starter doesn't have enough oomph to turn over the higher compression of the B16B even though it was fine for my old worn out B18B. I rebuilt the starter and still won't work, so going to buy a new starter. Also still having transmission issues. Hopefully once I get some heat in the transmission and get the fluid circulating it will go in to first and second. This swap has been nothing but trouble so far, but I know it will be worth it. I'm low on time and funds with the holidays coming up, so it's not looking like the car will run before the first of the year.
It sure looks good just sitting there though.....
I got one of these too which is cool-
