I really wondered if going public would be the death of the F1 business. Racing is generally viewed as a poor business when bean counters get involved.

haha, no but when I saw a headline about TRD getting bounced from a NASCAR win a few years ago my heart rate went up a little bit. Thank god that wasn't our part.

F1 Magazine (is that even still around?) had an article saying how passes were more prevalent in CART because the majority of downforce in a Champ Car was from the two underbody tunnels.

 

I just put about 40 issues if it in a landfill

 

CDG wing was found to create similar downforce levels but reduced the size and amplitude of the wake behind the car. Good!

Probably wasn't adopted because A) ugly AF, B) sponsor space C) made too much downforce. They (FIA) wanted to cap total downforce to something like 25000 N (I forget) for 2009.
