2006 CRV Exedy clutch master cylinder MC502 exploded today on a stock 2006 CRV @ 11 months and 14k miles.

Stranded a 2 year old and his dad on a hill. Not cool Exedy. Not cool at all.

 

After some reading it looks like I am not the only CRV owner to suffer this issue. I bought an Autozone made in China replacement with a lifetime warranty, but I also drilled out the failed Exedy CMC to M8x1.25. When my Duralast dies I will conduct an experiment.


Not a single **** was given about the washers being too big. Not a single one. As long as it doesn't leak.
