I'm 10ish pages late, but I am going to babble on about something that drives me insane:
Axis Of Oversteer

"unintended consequences of consequence free racing"
The ruling of "did not gain an advantage" every time a driver is given a pass for cutting the track or making a turn bigger & faster then it was intended is such crap. It seems to only use the position of the car next to it as a benchmark to see if there should be a penalty or not.
The blog above makes a great case for stopping this trend of turning racetracks into giant autocross courses. For my HPDE days at COTA, I am greatful that I can blow one of the esses and just leave the part of the pavement designated as the racetrack and drive across some more pavement. But it makes for some absurd racing situations.
HAM was given a pass in turn 1 because after going full-playstation across turn 1-2-3, he "did not gain an advantage". supposedly after racing away from everyone, he lifted or something and let the field catch back up, and they resumed racing. That's such ****. He gained an advantage by braking impossibly late going into turn 1, making sure the field stayed behind him. Had he begun braking at a point that made the turn possible, maybe he would have got dive-bombed by someone able to make it stick.
The Ferrari / Redbull mixup at the end was an embarrassment to F1. Vettel should be in 3rd place, the situation that created his movement under braking should not have been created in the first place, because the stewards should have immediately told Max to get TF out of the way.

Mrs. Greyout and I are in the early stages of moving to a new house that suits our needs more. Race car's sole job is keeping dust off the floor until that happens. :/
Seems a lot of people don't like him because of his rich daddy, his crashing on a practice outlap at Daytona, or his haircut. He did beat Pedro Piquet and Harrison Newey in F3. Can't wait to see how he does against Bottas.

I was always a bit miffed how much credit Lowe received at Merc, when he arrived to late in 2013. But his record ain't too shabby.
