The AM-RB 001 Hypercar Generates 4000 Pounds of Downforce with No Wing
We already know the upcoming AM-RB 001 hypercar is going to be one of the most capable road cars to ever hit the streets. With a naturally aspirated V12, F1-derived hybrid tech, and stunning looks, everyone's on their toes when it comes to Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin's road car. Turns out the 25 track-only versions will be capable of some borderline-unbelievable performance.
In an interview with several members of the 001's development team, the Wall Street Journal managed to reveal quite a bit about the non-street legal version of the crazy new hypercar. Thanks to the revolutionary underbody air channel design, shaped to keep the car as close to the ground as possible, the 001 is able to generate a claimed 4000 pounds of downforce without having to utilize a huge rear wing. In a car with a dry weight of just 2200 pounds, that's nothing short of astonishing.
And that's not all. David King, the project engineer for the AM-RB 001 program, told WSJ the track-only car can hold up to four Gs of lateral acceleration while cornering. For some context, McLaren claims its P1 hypercar can achieve just two Gs of lateral acceleration in the bends. Insane.Turning isn't the only thing the 001 will do well, as 0-200 mph is claimed to come in around 10 seconds.

What needs to happen is ban all mobile device use while behind the wheel of a car. That would cut down on a lot of accidents, traffic, and road rage incidents. Last year saw a scary increase in pedestrian and motorcycle deaths due to distracted drivers.
Edit: This is in reference to the autonomous car topic. We don't need self driving cars, we need less distracted drivers.

well that's nice to see you haven't lost your faith in humanity. i'm well beyond that and i just don't want people in control of 3500lb vehicles anymore. i'd rather take my chances on my bicycle with a computer algorithm deciding my fate than distracted debbie. lord knows the odds are better than with these people:

What the indeed
Hamilton is set to appear in six scenes of the game, and the footage from Los Angeles showed him having a speaking role and filming unusual facial expressions.
In an interview broadcast with the CoD story, Hamilton said that he felt privileged to play a part in the game.
"I grew up with Super Mario, where the graphics were outdated at the time," he said. "It's crazy to see how far it [computer games] went - the realisation is unbelievable.
"I loved it, it was a great experience, I am incredibly honoured to be part of this game. I've been a fan for years."
