The Official Formula 1 2016 Season Thread
Looking at the rainfall totals I would think they are fine. Looks like they got between 5" and 6". That shouldn't be an issue. The roads you are hearing about may be south and east of the VIR area.
As Falcon said it should have been almost a non-event for Hungry.

I doubt his internets or powah were lost. Hopefully he's good and just been busy.

Thanks for asking about me
But yes, I'm fine. Like the almighty birds mentioned, it was pretty much a breeze and some light drizzles for about 6 hours and that was that. We get hit harder with our daily 2pm thunderstorms. I have been busy doe. 3 finals (Aced them all) and got a raise and promotion at work, so a lot more responsibility and less time to post. Also, congrats on the new crib Tim
I'll roll up with turkey for the party

BP eyes $30m F1 sponsorship return? > F1 News > Grandprix.com
McLaren already have a 20 year partnership with Exxonmobil, and they've been working super hard to try to get the fuel right for the Honda engine. I would imagine that if they landed this BP deal that Exxonmobil would go elsewhere? Also aren't Renault really close with Total?

BP eyes $30m F1 sponsorship return?
British oil multinational BP is looking to re-enter formula one as a sponsor.
That is the claim of Germany's authoritative Auto Motor und Sport, referring to the London-headquartered company that has a long history of F1 sponsorship.
BP's first involvement at the pinnacle of motor sport was several decades ago, but the report claims the oil giant now wants to return "with a large campaign".
"Rumours say Renault and McLaren are competing for the contract worth a supposed $30 million," said respected correspondent Michael Schmidt.

So it looks like ROS will probably be WDC.
Just goes to show that driving like an ******* (Spain, Austria) can get you far.
Has Lewis ever done anything dirty to ROS? Even though I think he is a tool I can't think of when he's been malicious on track...

Lewis likes to understeer into T1 and force people (Brit) off. Britney just squares you off and it looks low brow. They're different, but they're one in the same to me IMO.
Some wackjob was on iracing last night in the Star Mazda series at Laguna Seca and he clearly wanted to dice with people. We were both about the same pace so he kept harassing me. I was trying to get some laps in to find my shift/braking points. I finally pulled a Lewis on him going into the corkscrew and that set him back. Eventually I found a few tenths in turn 5 and 10 and he couldn't dice with me anymore. I looked him up after the session and he had a really low safety rating. He was fast but generally out of control. Probably fresh out of the University of Gran Turismo.
I also had a guy randomly share a setup with me for Watkins Glen. Turns out he ran a Formula Ford team in the 80s and just liked setting up the cars in iracing. I was 1 second off alien times with his setup. I've never been that close to the ultimate laptimes before.

I'll roll up with turkey for the partyWe actually got a good knocking from this one. Was out in the parking lot for our peak gust at the airport. Was 70 mph, 61kt. I had my kestrel out at the time of the peak gust and measured 30.5 mph at eye level which is pretty damn strong.
