I also saw a hawk swoop to the ground, then start hoping around and pecking at the ground. Eventually it flew into the a tree with a rattlesnake and ate it. Got pics of that around here somewhere too

So it looks like I might have a place to stay in Austin for the race. Will know this week, hopefully I can be there this year.

So while we were dealing with the first fire another fire broke out. About 3 miles NW of camp on a day with 35-45 mph wind gusts from the W-NW,

We'll see what happens, still a chance I wont make it. Trying to become a home owner and need to keep money in the bank. Also debating going to Laguna Seca for the Pirelli World Challenge Finale next weekend. And I get all access passes there.
