Re: Official Championship White ITR Picture Thread
I was lucky enough to have 2 friends who are photogs out with us yesterday at Laguna. A couple from one of my friends, happened to see him after the corkscrew so I had to say "hi"

Then you'll know mine is almost completely stock too but I still have a thread.
Your car is so clean! We want to know more! (I do at least)

Thank you!! I recently imported the car in about a year ago. It has been a good 8-9 years for me to locate one with the broker in Japan that my buddy and I use. The reason it took forever to find is because I am a nerd when it comes to rare cars/goodies. The car is a November 1995, 96 SpecR. I wanted one in this condition, that is a Oct/Nov/Dec 1995 DB8R because of the super low production numbers. I haven't done much other than new centercaps, fluid change, a crazy detail in and out, OEM pads and rotors all around, and just threw on a set of Yokohoma Ad08R's. The car just turned 97,000kms. I plan on keeping it bone stock all the way down to the air filter, although I am getting the itch to modify. Seeing a good local dude completely restore his R makes me want to tastefully mod the 4Door. We'll see what the future brings! haha

I like your commitment to finding exaxtly what you wanted! As for modifying it, this trend for oem is good to see, the stock ones will be more collectible down the road of course. But I think it's ok to do easily reversible mods, just don't sell off the oem parts! Also keen for a build tread of a fellow db8r. Maybe we need an "official" ITR oem/restoration/preservation thread.

There is my NZ buddy
Sorry we haven't spoke through PM's. I have been super busy with my job, crazy overtime in NYC. Have you found out the production numbers by color yet for our 95-97 R's? I called Honda Corporate of Japan, spoke to an English interpreter, and never received an email back about my inquiry on production numbers by the 3 colors. I haven't had the time to call back. If anyone knows the numbers, I will send a beer or a cup of coffee
Yes I have years ago, I have it printed out and left in my glovebox for the haters who question me everywhere I go if TypeR's were made in 1995, and if 4 doors exist Thank you

And BTW, we DEFINITLEY need a ITR OEM/restoration/preservation thread. I see random people's hard work and dedication into some of these cars, and it is amazing. Most people say its a waste of money and time to bring something back to "the way it was" I am currently doing that to my 00' Milano Red EM1, whatever is rusty in the engine bay, brand new wheels, little discontinued brackets here and there, just to preserve the car that sits at 40k miles.
