Default Automatic transmission range sensor location (solved)

Can anyone tell me where this is located? I've searched everywhere on the net and nothing.....just the usual bs. Car is a 98 civic ex.

My speedo started going crazy while driving and I took it to O'Reilly's and the OBD2 code said that the automatic transmission range sensor was bad as well as the speed sensor. I change the speed sensor today but still the spedometer is fluctuating like crazy. Also all my lights seem to be pulsing from time to time. Please help.

Figured out the speeedo jumping and lights flickering it was the fuse under the steering wheel 7.5 amp called alternator/ speed.....yeah.....i know. Anyway.....lucky that was easy. But i still don't know where the trans range sensor is.

Whoa....thanks for this. II'll def check this out.

Do you know where the trans range sensor is? Does this car even have one? I looked under the faq here at all the sensors and trans range sensor is not anywhere to be found.

Post the actual CEL code, which may be caused by the fuse 15 problem.

Those are not 96-98 Honda Civic codes. Jump the service connector to see what code the D4 cluster light blinks. See Codes sticky. If you're unsure, post a video of the blinking D4 light.

Just a little update on this issue. I got it situated shortly after my original post but thought I'd do a small update in case someone else has this issue. First off i'd like to thank RonJ for his help....thank you. I've had a bad o2 sensor for quite sometime and could never get the dang thing off to change it so i had to wait until i had time to take the ex. Manifold off to really get to it with an impact gun...the other o2 sockets and such couldnt quite get the leverage to turn it without stripping the bolt. Anyway, CEL was always on because of this so i didnt care much...also my alternator has mever been really that strong ~12.5-13.5 volts when charging. So i've always kinda been waiting for this to go as well. Anyway...with all this going on one day my speedo started going wacko so i went to O'Reilly's and they ran my obd2 and got the usual o2 sensor code and the auto trans range sensor codes as well as the speed sensor. i thought speed sensor....junkyard its like $8 so i did that and changed my alternator too while i was at it. Another $29. However....still my speedo was crap....so i did some researnch and found there was actually a fuse for these issues and sure enough....that's what the problem was. Number 15 fuse under steering wheel 7.5 amp. Wonder if my alternator was ok too just that fuse was shorting out or something. Oh well. Anyway, ronj showed me on this post a common issue with the wiring rubbing the intake manifold support bracket and this can cause the fuse to blow. So i checked this and everything seemed fine with that as well. I still had the CEL from the o2 sensor as well and wondered if that would somehow affect the other codes it was throwing. So i decided to remove the ex. Manifold and finally change o2 sensors......now i have no CEL....and the ol Honda is running great. Thanks everyone.
