That and I don't like rocks and debris bouncing off the road and pelting my header and block. I've always been nervous that a big rock or something is going to go through the front of my block. At least this would slow the rock down haha. It looks nicer when you look through the bumper too.

Installed the Russell stainless brake lines last night, cleaned up and repainted the calipers that were chipped and will be replacing the rear pads, rotors, and one rear caliper that was dragging. I re-installed the bumper and corner lights and lined everything up again too. I want this thing ready to roll the minute the engine is in.

Yeah, I got mine from lightning motorsports for like $80 shipped. I've been running 24 year old civic lines on the front using skateboard bushings to space the little bracket out that attaches the line to the integra knuckle. Super ghetto looking and has always made me nervous, so this was a nice upgrade. These lines looks super well made and fit perfectly too.

Did you go with silver? Any closer pics? i need to redo my calipers on my EM1, just not sure what color to go with. Id like to go as close to factory if possible, just gotta find the right color.

I used the Duplicolor engine enamel "cast aluminum" color. I know Eastwood makes a kit to reproduce the blue/gray zinc color that I've always wanted to try also.

Better SLR pictures from this weekend. Got the brakes bled, bumper on for the final time, cleaned up all the suspension that was super dusty from sitting, exhaust goes to the metal fab guy to get the hangers shortened and the new tip welded on this week and the new engine should be here by the end of the month. Ended up ordering a B16B CTR longblock from H-Motors. Steve is the man and everything you hear about his awesome customer service is 100% accurate. He took great care of me and I can't wait to see how clean this engine is.

looks like you got more done than i did this weekend lol. Looks great. Are you using a bolt and nut to hold your bumper tabs to the fender as well?

Getting antsy now and trying to go over everything I need to get done before the engine gets here. Having an issue with one thing. I've replaced my rear caliper, slide pins, dust boots and pads on the drivers side and it will not make contact with the rotor no matter what I do, even with the ebrake. I have a feeling it's the Craigslist 4040 valve which really bums me out, because I just perfectly bled the brakes. Yeah, have some bolts and washers holding mine on.

I bought a cheap Yonaka catback mostly for the piping, but I actually really like the muffler design other than the tip. I dropped everything off today to have the giant tip cut off and this nice stainless 2.5" tip shortened a tad then welded in it's place. He's also going to shorten the hangers a bit to tuck the smaller tip up closer to the bumper. Should look nice when it's done. I've got a Spoon N1 axle back that I need to get fixed up a bit so it will bolt on and can switch them back and forth if I get bored.

The customer service you receive from most import based companies is so bad that it was super refreshing to get good service and quick service. Called Friday at 4PM to order, he had all the sensors switched to OBD1, and shipped that following Monday and was super nice about everything. I haven't bought anything from HMO since 2003, but now I wish I would have supported him more over the years. Thanks man, I think the B16B will look nice in there and with the S4c trans it should be lots of fun.

Yes, just the tip. That's obviously not all you were doing based on your latest announcement though....

Jelly about that b16b. I wonder how my built b17 stacks up against it.

I'm really happy how that all worked out. Maybe we will just have to find out.

Great build.

Questions:
1) Curious what you put down power wise. 170-180 whp?
2) I may have missed this in the thread, but are you running Hondata s300?
3) How is the Personal steering wheel holding up?

Thanks! I see you are in OKC. What do you drive?
1) I don't have the B16B in the car yet, but the stock LS made 129WHP 118WTQ. I'd hope the B16B with the nice header, test pipe and 2.5" exhaust will make 170ish.
2) No S300, just going to run the stock CTR ECU for now. I'll probably do S300 eventually. I ran a chipped P75 with the LS from Phearable.
3) It's great, but honestly I haven't driven the car much since I put it in there due to the engine failure a year and a half ago.

The engine was supposed to be here this week, but looks like I won't have it until late next week which was a huge bummer. I did get the muffler back with the giant tip cut off and the new 2.5" stainless pipe welded in it's place. I think it looks a lot like a factory ex/si muffler, but we added a little something to it by angling the tip slightly up and out so it didn't look like a random pipe sticking straight out.

I got it tucked right up to the bumper and I love this look. Super clean and OEM looking with a burnt tip to give it a little character.

I've got a 1990 EF with an LS/Vtech swap. One of these days I'll get my crap together and post up a 'build' log of sorts. When its working and everything falls into place I bring it out to Cars & Coffee, but not much else.

Off topic: On Phearable, was your experience good with them?

That exhaust turned out great. It really does have a stockish look to it.

Love the exhaust! Smaller tip definitely sets it off! Great look.
