Default Engine overheating and burning metal smell

So here it goes, so my 00 civic coupe d16y8 started heating up, i opened the hood and anti freeze was leaking and burning out of the radiator cap (which caused this visible smoke) now i went to the mechanic and he told me FOR SURE that i needed to replace my radiator..guess what? 15 minutes later AFTER i paid 200$ for the radiator to be replaced with a new one i started smelling a smell of burnt metal (like the kind when you use a saw against metal and makes that smell..also the cold and hot gauge started going to hot (Im going back to the mechanic tomorrow the same one) PLEEASE HELP SHES MY DAILY!
( I don't know if turning the a/c on effects it but my mom turned on the a/c right after the fix was done of course they made us wait for the fluids to be just right)

Other issues
- The car has high idles that go from 1k to 2k that sometimes go to each other up and down and sometimes in between.

When engine is cool remove the radiator cap, and top off the radiator and reservoir with 50:50 coolant.

Then properly bleed the cooling system, which your mechanic failed to do.

I hope you did not destroy your engine.

Don't bring your car to that useless mechanic ever again. And submit a negative YELP review to help others from suffering from the same misery.

Burning smell? How did you determine its from the fan?

You just unbolt and unplug the fan, get a new one, bolt and plug the new one in place, and you're done.

No need for a tutorial. It's a 5 minute job.

Performance rad has direct replacements... https://shop.performanceradiator.com...product_id=572 more money but way less then OEM and a direct fit.

Default Anti freeze question and Timing belt

Is 50/50 anti freeze coolant ok to use every time to refill the reservoir & radiator if low? or go full on antifreeze? (What kind of coolant can i get that is safe for my 00 civic automatic ex coupe d16y8? Because im the third owner and i don't have a owners manual also i don't know if this changes the circumstances but i live in nyc so there winter (snow) and summer here ) , Also when do i have to change my timing belt? shes been sitting since 2003 im guessing since that was the last registration date sticker seen on her , I wanna change it to that blue timing belt i see people have ( I don't know the name and where to buy a legit one ) and finally is it bad if i leave the first cover that covers the cam? & where can i get a legit michimoto radiator?

There is no such thing as full on antifreeze. If you buy the undiluted antifreeze you need to mix in as per instructions, 50% antifreeze and 50% distill water.
