That's impressive man. I just sold my Subaru today, and I have similar plans. I want to do the same thing to either a 93 integra or an eg hatch.
I'm no baller, just put money in it here and there and just try to make everything look as nice as I can for my budget which is usually zero... Thanks.

I bought it bone stock from the first owner silver steelies and all; now there pretty much isn't even a single bolt left that is factory lol. Keep up the good work bro and congrats on the new home.
I'd love to go K someday, but have to wait until people want to basically give me their setup or I could never justify the cost. I imagine they are fun as hell to rip around in, but there's no way I could ever have the self control to save up that kind of cash, so props to you on that! I've had mine about 11 years now too and the same situation. Silver steelies, purple 1992 window tint and the only mod was a sweet stick on pinstripe.

Which product did you use?
Also, thanks for hosting you images on flickr so I can look at them while I'm at work ;-). Other image sites like photo bucket don't come through. Also great job on that stencil for the letters on the transmission. It looks so legit.
Thanks man, I really liked the way that turned out myself too. I had a really hard time letting that go when the kid came to pickup my worn out D15b7 longblock. I think I used a "medium" buffing wheel on a bench grinder and a heavy cutting compound followed by a super soft wheel with polishing compound and hit it with some cleaner wax and a micro fiber just to clean off the left over buffing compound on pretty much all my metal parts.
I've got to redo the paint on my transmission and make another stencil, going to try and keep it looking exactly the same if I can. Thanks for the nice words!
I disassembled the head and longblock for the final time this weekend and laid it all out. I inspected everything and all the bearings look to be in great shape, just was getting blow by from the rings being worn. Insides of the cylinders look good to go, just need a good hone before re-assembly.
My friend and neighbor works at the local Acura dealer and helped me with acquiring all the parts for the bottom end rebuild and freshening up the head. Only thing I'm a doof and forgot to order was the main bearings. Should be taking the block to the machine shop next month and then it will start going back together hopefully by April.
All the brake/suspension parts waiting patiently for the time to get all put back together.
Slowly making progress. Transmission is done and re-painted. I took some extra time and used 80 grit sandpaper on an orbital sander to clean up all the slag from the casting and the little circle casting marks on the end of the case. Came out super nice for spray paint I thought.
All of my front suspension and the crossmember came back from powdercoat a bit ago. I pressed in the new Energy Suspension bushings and got it ready for re-assembly. I re-painted the rack and cleaned everything up and re-installed those parts back in the car.
I put the rest of the suspension back together and lowered the car back down to earth for the first time since November which was nice.
looking good. always loved your attention to detail. That matter more to me than slapping every aftermarket part you can get your hands on to a chassis that needs a ton of tlc

Thanks man. I've never had the money to afford baller parts, so just made the things I was lucky enough to afford or get from friends as nice as I could.
5-13-15 It will be as good as new in the next 6 months hopefully though. If the block is no good I'm just going to save up and buy an HMO B16A longblock.
Yep, a year and 3 months later, still saving up for that HMO B16A longblock.... I spent a good chunk of what I had saved up on adopting a dog who then decided it would be fun to eat rocks and it cost me a lot of money to get him healthy...
I've gotten in to biking a lot too and kind of back burnered the car lately. I recently sold my Subaru to free up disposable income to get the civic running and decided to stay car payment free too so I could put more money towards the civic. Seeing it tucked in the corner of the garage makes me really sad and I need to get it running! My goal is to have it running/driving by first quarter 2017 at this point.
Trying to keep myself busy with stuff. Installed my super rare Chinese "JDM Spoon" carbon mirrors that I took a gamble on for $60 and painted the K1s black to see how I liked it. I think the black looks pretty awesome, just have to do a few more coats and they'll be good to go. I got replacement stickers in red and another set in white that I'm going to try out. I'll probably go with red though.

In Russ we trust! What a freakin' relief to know we are at least half way guaranteed not to suck for the next couple years. How do you feel about what KD did as a non-biased non-OKC fan?
It's NBA frickin' basketball; why do you think that I hate LeBron so much. Lol. At least when Garnett and Jesus Shuttlesworth went to Boston, them and Paul Pierce were 60 years old.

I think the part that made most people mad is that he left us high and dry with nothing in return and then went to the enemy. When KD signed with ROC Nation a couple years ago that's when I started getting worried. Jay-Z isn't going to be too excited about representing a star athlete from Oklahoma.
The car has power for the first time in a year. Engine will be ordered this week for real this time and then the cleaning, tune up, and maintenance on the longblock begins.
Thanks dude! I'm getting so close. My friend built me a super nice ac condenser block off panel out of heavy gauge aluminum. He cut this out using a water jet out of one big piece and then made the bends with a brake. I really like how this came out and will likely get it powdercoated black or try to polish out the sanding marks.
