looking back to 2010 finale, i understand there was no opportunity for alonso to pass but i'm not sure holding station behind petrov set the best tone for the remainder of his career at ferrari.
if he had crashed out i think he could have been seen as a hero who went down fighting. instead it just looked like the pitwall strategy and the car weren't good enough and he came home p7. i am a little surprised alonso didn't try a riskier divebomb to shake petrov into a mistake.
