The Official Formula 1 2016 Season Thread
so apparently Button is not retiring but taking a sabbatical since he's signed on through 2018. Some ting tells me McLaren are using Button as back up in case Alonso leaves or if Vondorn sucks.

Been a busy week, just now catching up on the thread/F1.
Imagine if Felipe baby was blocked by Verstappen like that.
His blocking is not illegal but it is dangerous and pretty stupid. If Kimi hit him with that speed differential it would have been a double DNF.
Felipe should have retired years ago.
Button as a development driver is stupid as he has never given feedback to develop a championship level car.

I think a lot of people are really starting to like him now that he isn't winning all the time.

i agree with all of what you said, but that last line stuck with me the most, simply because it's happened on so many instances where he's blocked very illegally and dangerously. but I'm willing to bet he'll have something to say when a diver puts him in the wall or cuts his tire.

I'm not mad about HAM losing the race in T1.
But why didn't Ferrari split their strategies? Keep Seb on the theoretically faster one stop and cover HAM's two stop (the dummy) with Kimi.
I should really apply for that job. May need to brush up on my Italiano doe.
