It looked like the tire might've hit Helio's head but when interviewed he said he only remembers his hand getting hit by Rossi's car.
So a High School teacher that I can credit with helping me get my scholarship to FSU died this afternoon. He was struck by a truck riding on his week old Surly Disc trucker (a bike for you ignants).
He worked at the same school for 40 years, and just retired in May. Today was the 3rd day of class for the new school year, and he's killed.
For ****'s sake I don't know if I'm more angry or sad.
Anyways ya'll be careful out on the roads. Don't get got, and don't get someone else.

Today I drove to Gainesville to pick up my retirement gift that will keep me out of trouble (and in shape), a new custom-painted touring bike that matches my truck. I keep thinking about the Dr. Seuss book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"
