The Official Formula 1 2016 Season Thread
almost had a member meat up!
Reminds me of that time I was out with some friends for a housewarming thing and discovered my friend's new roommate was Booley's old roommate. The topic of cars came up and the guy said, hey, my old roommate is really into cars and auto-x... ...and was on a honda forum all the time. I asked if his old roommate was named Dustin? Yes he said. Oh, well did you know he made a thread on that Honda forum about how much his roommates sucked?
it was a little awkward.

How's your wife and work and all that? And whats the progress on the S2Blue?
I'm so glad to hear he's improving, really hope things continue to progress.
Life is okay, S2blue is clicking along. Pretty much only have to order wheels/tires & install everything. Have decided on sizing, color, model, etc., just not going to drop the cash right now. Going to pay off Fit in the next couple months & order wheels over the winter.

That's whats up man. Can't wait to see what she looks like once you get all the parts on her. I finally sold my old teg, putting that money away for now though, looking to buy a house in the next 3 years.

Nevermind.
25 y/o esty bought a house (without rita's dad helping). 31.75 y/o esty wood advise 25 y/o esty and anyone else of similar age and income to skip the house until the ability to pay for the property in 10-15 years exists. Otherwise it's just a really expensive headache to drag around.
For serious. 30 year mortgages can suck my ****.

I'll be 30 this Dec. So I figure shoot for having a house no later than when I'm 35. I would like to have a home before my son starts school, and that's only 3 years away
So the time to start putting money away is now. Mrs. Hungry and I created a joint savings account that we put $800 a month into. So in 3 years we will be right around 30k. I started cleaning up my credit and improving my score last year and her credit is great as is. As long as we stay the course we should be okay.

If you're going to stay in the same area you should at least run the numbers. There are areas of the country where renting makes more sense but that is generally the exception to the rule.
26 year old njn bought a townhouse for 108k. The mortgage/hoa fees were $350 less than the place would rent for. 32.75 year old njn now has a townhouse worth 140k that will be on the market soon hopefully (currently in Detroit, waiting to fly home after an interview).

On the plus side it was rezoned to the awesome rich people schools within the county, so I'm gonna gladly sell it to some small family when the time comes. Then I can pay off all of my student loans.

Once I get the house I'll have a BBQ and invite all the HTF1 bros
