Hey guys, for those of you who have rear disc conversions and kept your ABS, how did you do it? what parts did you use and from what car? I have my rear disc set up from an EM1 but it didn't come with ABS. My car is a 96 EX with ABS.

TIA

Do your hubs have a reluctor ring? On the non-abs suspensions that I've looked at, usually the only difference is that the mounting tab for the sensor isn't threaded. Seems like you could tap the hole, bolt up your sensors and go:

Thanks for the pic reference Adam. I will have to check for that reluctant ring

UK. My main complaint is that there isn't a 99-00 LHD climate control with center vent lever, from what i've been told. And I don't wanna put in a RHD bezel just to have the lever. The OCD is livid!!! hahaha. I have the rest of everything on the way. Vi-RS door panels, all interior plastics, black seat belts, already have the seats, already have the black carpet.

I'm gonna have to dye the EL console and my kick panels, and that should be it.

I got an ashtray with the dash that I won't be using, in black, if anyone is interested.

I wonder how hard it is to convert the climate control wirings from a 99-00 to 96-98. I can't wait to see all your parts put together

I'd have to swap the whole heater core/blower motor, not gonna happen. I'm just gonna leave the vent set open, and keep my 99-00 bezel and climate controls. Makes me sad. The only reason I MIGHT do the 99-00 RHD bezel is if I put a head unit back in the vehicle. I've been bouncing around the idea of a Raspberry Pi touch screen with a dedicated hard drive for high resolution audio, but...not sure I wanna do it. If I do that...then I MIGHT be ok with the RHD bezel because it would put the screen closer. Again...OCD.

HEy Guys! I am in need of help! sorry if I posted here please spam if needed! I have a 2001 Honda civic EX modle 4 doors. 1.7L v-tec. well it is not starting.

1) it gets fuel and the coil packs are good.
2) I am thinking that it is the Crank Censor behind the Crank pulley

do you think that, that would cause that car not to start. I am not familiar with this models any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Sam

Had a busy day yesterday...I'm sore as crap!!! Right now the center vent doesn't function because of the 99-00 climate bezel. When i'm bored one day, i'll be remaking the EDM duct to work with the 99-00 bezel, or...I'll redo the climate control to fit the 96-98 bezel and keep my electronic climate controls, or...retro the auto climate from the europe or japan, and see what's possible.

Not sure if your in real time, if so congrats! I did my dash today as well. So when you say your sore, I ca truly empathize LOL #twinning What paint are you using for the consoles? I'll get my pics together and post. Here's an update from yesterday.

Tomorrow/today TTD
- Install dash
- Install Climate
- Install Cluster
- Install Cluster
- Install Seat Belts
- Install Shift Plate
- Install EK FLP
- Install Cupholder
- Relocate Radio
- Install E-brake Handle
- Install Carpet
- Install Rear VTI/SIR Seats & Door Panels

This past week the family and I went out to AZ. Met up with some friends and had enjoyed our quick getaway. I had purchased these items from the lad I got my interior from; He was nice enough to hold them for me until I could pick them up. Odd parts like these don't surface everyday, ( as I write this I realize the perpetual build cycle, LOL ) and I never got to do things like this for my sedan years ago. I'd like to one day find all the other trim pcs to match. Just got to wait for the right deal.

- Rear Dark Gray/Black sedan speaker cover.
- Dark Gray/Black Seat Belts
-While there he also offered up a no longer needed bumper pole switch. I don't plan on using my BP, but having the completed option is always cool in my book.

With a few friends, tomorrow, we plan to execute some interior updates. Starting with some electronics and this beautiful red carpet. I hope the install is not to painful. I'll be considering the use of some home depot padding as plan B. Definitely have to squeeze in some reading before I start my last minute install essential trip tomorrow.

I'm using SEM Landau Black dye with all of the proper prep materials. I think after a couple of weeks and some cleaning of the other dash parts, it's all gonna blend perfectly. I've got all black interior plastics and seat belts on the way, including all the dark grey Ferio upper plastics. I'm excited to get everything in. I need to rein the power mirror switch, and do some poking around the cruise control and dimmer switched, or source black ones. Got nothing but time. I've still got a ton of wiring left to do, and then i'll swap in the black carpet kit and get some new floor mats made for the front. ugh...the list keeps growing.

HAHAH Yes it does, especially dealing with ferio parts. May I ask if you can source another set of black plastics, I was going to paint my stuff but I'm worried about scratches over time.

My today's update:
Got a late start on my day, slept in past my alarm clock. No matter the outside temp. the show must go on. We did as much as we could while we had sunlight. Then it was relaxing and enjoying some brews over BBQ. It was to dark by the time I got the dash in to snap pics. What a fiasco it is just to swap caps, right?

Looks like you went with a dark grey dash? I didn't think that the Black dash was ever offered without the airbag and a center vent in LHD. I can probably get another set of black, but I would think that matching dark grey would be better.

I'm a little jealous that you get to retain the center vent because your car started life as a 96-98. It would have taken an amazing amount of work to get it to work in my 2000.

I did end up with the dark gray. I was calling around today last minute trying to find some Landu black, but no one had it in stock. I didn't plan on spraying my dash, only the plastics. After today I realized they take so much dragging abuse I'd rather get black plastics and spray the dash. I rarely ever touch it, or never cross it with anything abrasive. After swapping climates, I did notice and love the AC delete cover. Didn't even notice it was there when I bought the dash.

At least you have black plastics, I'm jealous of that. LOL. I'm not sure what's needed to make that happen. A lot of cross compatibility alludes me. If it's truly what you would like then go for it sir. Do it once the way you wish it to be and call it a night. Doing it later on would only bring on more soreness :D

This whole project would have been so much easier with all of the "this is the part you want, that works with this, and this wiring, and this other thing" if I have just bought a RHD car, let it sit until it was legal, and then registered it, HAHAHA. It's the only way to get center vent, with a double din 99-00 bezel, with the working center vent lever, and auto climate adjustment. I'm probably just do something dumb and find myself an RTi AWD civic with rear wiper and all the other nonsense that I have been buying, and just have it shipped, already attached to a car!! ugh!!!

*Caution, not a sedan post

On my current hatch. It mounts with multiple self tapping screws all along the bottom edge of the bumper and sits nice and tight. Was shipped in a huge box and was super easy to install. I've hit many things with it and it's held up for the past four years. Good luck.
