91 Civic EF wiper linkage bushing
Hi
My wiper decided to quit. The motor is running but the linkage is totally off the ball. The bushing is gone. I looked up on youtube, it seems like people swap out the entire mechanism. Is it possible you put new bushings on the bar? Any instructions? I can't go without wiper...

You can't buy JUST the bushing. You have to buy the whole linkage. And don't buy old ones, just pony up the money for brand new ones. If you buy old ones they will bust out too. They are still available at the dealer. I just bought one last year.

I've been there with my 91 before... Uh.. check the wiper transmissions (the posts wiper arms connect to) as well... I just replaced the linkage originally.. and a few months later the transmissions went out... >.> two very expensive trips to the mechanic...

Yes and also there is a cheaper assortment that I bought available at Autozone, Orileys, or Advanced Auto Parts for $4.99
It calls out for Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Nissan but I made it work for my CRX all I had to do is make the hole in the linkage a tiny bit bigger and it fit right in. Took me about 5 min todo.

Looks like brand new ones are like twice expansive compare to newer models... It's quite a investment...
