Default 93 VX - Cleanup - Appearance Pic Heavy

So after a few years of being away I'm finally back on HT! I have to find a few OEM parts right off and a few other odds and ends but other than that this thing is SOLID! I need a cheap stage 2 or 3 clutch and flywheel like yesterday, does anyone have any recommendations or just grab a cheap eBay one? I'm also looking for the hardware for the rear glass shocks for one side. There is no shock and just a vape sticker covering the hole. The AC is out but the compressor kicks on so I'm hoping it's just needing a charge :D

Here are the pics from the ad:

You do realize that your engine produces 92hp at 5,500rpm and 98ftlbs of torque at 4,800rpm. And you'd have to really work to get to those rpms with your transmission's gearing.

As for the rear glass shocks, you can try a junkyard or Hmotorsonline.

OEM it is, I had no idea the HP was so low! Anything I should be looking at getting right off the bat for this thing? Here's what I've bought so far just to get it cleaned up a bit and to get some stuff that I don't fully trust off the car:

The shifter that's in it is cut and jacked up, and the exhaust has a leak so I figured I might as well go with those and just keep the silencer in and get a subtle black muffler. Now I just have to find a hood...

Z6's have a lil more power than that!

Power: 125 bhp (92 kW, 125 PS) at 6,600 rpm
Torque: 106 lb·ft (14.7 kg/m, 144 Nm) at 5,200 rpm

Its still not a ton more, but over 25%+

Its enough to get outta its own way at least.

And ^yeah, don't get a race clutch for a stock engine, and this isn't the best engine to build. Some add a turbo, but most just get a DOHC and build those.

No it isn't. Stick to what you know.

OP

Please don't make this a eBay special. I know where you live.

As I said prior stick with a Exedy or OE clutch and resurface the flywheel only.

Not ricing it up I just don't trust a few of the items on the vehicle and I would rather swap out the hoses and radiator before summer (I've used those radiators before and liked them but if you have a better option throw it up) and the shifter and **** are cheap and will be replaced later once the vehicle is deemed to deserve it (ie. has ran for a few weeks with no issues). The fender I want to replace as the PO thought the trend of taking the paint off of one panel so it would rust was cool. As far as the exhaust I'm 99% sure I could get the leak fixed cheap and easy but for $150 shipped for a brand new never been through the salt and snow exhaust (that will also add 45 HP as stated by the eBay ad) it's hard to pass up. Notice I'm not installing a header or anything right now I know what I'm doing (somewhat) with these things and I'll spend money where it's needed and won't rice it up with eBay I promise. These are just things to get it off the ground.

The intake manifold's make it appear as a Z6 but they are different sizes. Also not the Exhaust manifold is a log type with a top mount O2 sensor, should be a 5 wire for Vtec-E. Also note the intake piping size.

Engine from CL ad.

Closest I can find of a D16Z6

A Stock Del Sol dual core radiator should be plenty of cooling for a stock engine.

And I seriously doubt exhaust will gain 45hp off a 125hp engine

Oh that was a total joke. I hate how eBay ads put stuff like that in the description.

"Make your Honda Odyssey DRIFT ready with this cold air intake!!!"

"Gain 45HP AT THE WHEELS with this quick release steering wheel hub!!!"

I would seriously expect 4-5hp but get a +5 to street cred. and +13 to Stamina

Good looking out man! That is the correct kit though right? I'll just need a rear main seal and I'm good right?

Yeah, you're only gonna feel it in your butt-dyno, and prob nowhere else

It should be the same. Double check with your car and engine tho. It wont steer you wrong.

The ITR style shift ***** will be cold in the Winter and hot in the Summer too.

I personally would question the quality of the short shifter and radiator myself. Probably better off going with a dual bend OEM GSR from the wrecking yard and new bushings. The Energy Suspension bushings have a nice feel and are inexpensive.

*stalker*

If you need a radiator, I have an all aluminum one sitting on a shelf somewhere you can have cheap. I'll be driving past your way this weekend.

And agreed, please don't ebay special it.

Ah, see that now too.. PLUS the OP put "VX" in his title, I should have known lol.

I'm too used to the Sol's D15s having the plugs to the back of the VC, not at the front.

But, all good to know! (and knowing is a terrible thing, or something like that)

I have never had one break or even heard about that but that doesn't mean it doesn't/hasn't ever happened. What would you recommend I go with then?
