Hey everybody. I bought a non running. 94 civic vtec. I get power to fuse # 31. And power to fuse #18 when cranking.and i checked the igniton system But NO power to fuse #24. Also im getting. NO. (( srs )) or (( check engine light)) or (( cell )) light when turn over ignition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yea i actually did this test yesterday. From the same diagram. But the person had a different year car. So i just wanted to double check this step. Ignition test was good. If you want me to do the test again tomarrow. And. Tell you the exact steps i took to test the ignition switch. The only part of the test i couldnt do was the last step (( key in ))test. Because there is no key. [[[ Hotwired]]] really appreciate the help. Ron. J
Ok i will post pics as soon as i get home from work tomarrow. I have no key because i bought it without one. The(( hot wire)) job was done when i got it. So i really have no history on the car. But i have always liked this body style with the 5speed. Fairly straight and clean car besides the. Hotwire crap. Thanks again ronJ. Talk to you tomarrow
Hey ronJ and fcm. So i tested the ignition. STEP#1. Disconnnected. (5-p) and (7-p) connectors. STEP#2. Key postion #1. Tested white/black wire (ACC) and. White wire (battery) STEP#3. Key position #2. Tested. White/black wire (ACC) and. White wire (battery) and. Black/yellow wire. (IG1) and. Yellow wire. (IG2) STEP#4. Key position #3. Tested white wire (battery) and black/yellow wire (IG1) and black/white wire (ST) BUT could not do the ((key in)) test because i dont have a key. Also. The ingnition wires are "wired" into a viper alarm. Im sending pics as soon as i figure out how to post on here. Thanks so much for your help ronJ and fcm
So i unhoohed the alarm and put everything back where it goes except for the (3) ignition wires. White/ black wire. And. Black/yellow. And. Yellow. Wires. Because the plug to the harness is cut off. I am getting NO power to fuse #12. Or. Fuse #18. Or. Fuse#24. Its a canadian civic. So what should i do next ?
Among the five ignition switch wires shown in post #11, only the Wht wire should have battery voltage when the five wires are free and disconnected from one another. Have you located the Wht wire? Post a picture.
Is a fuse installed in both the #12 and #24 slots of the dash fuse box? Post a clear picture of the front of the dash fuse box. Also post a picture of the connector plugged into the C922 slot in the front of the dash fuse box (see post #19).
