Making a thread for my R. Got it from Canada. Has about 44,000 miles on it. Mostly stock, but working on getting it back to oem spec, including jdm oem parts.
So far I put a Jdm srs steering wheel on. Today I'm getting a/c and oem jdm suspension including oem camber arm (or whatever it's called). Previously had konis/gc (which are for sale if anyone's interested).
This thread will be about making the car as stock as possible, and maintaining and keeping it clean. Currently looking to put back on oem rotors and pads.
Washed, waxed, and detailed it yesterday and she is gorgeous. Few scratches here and there, so prob can't say she is mint, but very close.
I didn't buy this for such a high price that I'm afraid to put miles on it, so I look forward to driving it a lot without worrying about that.
An integra type r has been a dream car for me for 15 years. Watched so many best motoring videos over the years. Finally have one of my own, it's a car that is much more special imo than many cars that are much more expensive. Always wanted the jdm front end no doubt. The hid headlights are prob the best head lights I've ever seen, similar to the S2000. Love the cw color and cw wheels. It had to be cw all the way.
Going to look for more variations of cw oem Itr 5 lug wheels.
Also might look for oem CDM red front seats, in addition to the recaros. Would be cool to have those on hand.
Very VERY nice! I've been wondering what she looks like since you posted about shipping the car from Canada. Congratulations on the pickup! Definitely worth all of the hassles you went through to make the purchase.
Oem jdm suspension and a/c installed! Not the best pic, but ride height is higher now, which is much better for civilian driving, speed bumps, driveways, etc.
Lovely Teg. Does yours have the red CDM rear seats? They're extremely rare worldwide and very cool. Must have cost Honda a few quid to do such a tiny production runs for just one market.
The JDM wheels would be a nice addition alright D. Another option might be the European market ones which look identical to the JDM, only they come in 15 inch rather than 16. I seem to recall a) they were notably lighter and b) there were more tyre options. The main reason I ended up comparing the two was my JDM R had the originals "removed" on the slow boat from Japan(along with the titanium gear ****) and the original owners EK9 Civic R winter wheels stuck on. The same wheels that North America put on the Teg R and what you are running yourself. In the end I went for the EDM 15's as the roads around my neck of the woods would worry a moon buggy. I suspect that's why the non JDM models went 15 inch too. Japanese roads tend to be like billiard tables in smoothness.
I like the JDM steering wheel and shifter and Recaros. The North American market was really shortchanged there. I suppose to keep the selling price down. Maybe keep an eye out for European LHD carbon dashboard bits and bobs? I'd say they'd have a price premium mind you as they were an uncommon enough car on European roads.
@****: Yes I'd be happy to get my hands on the jdm 16's and EU 15s. Currently in negotiation to buy some 15s actually. Shift **** is currently skunk2. But I believe I ordered a legit oem jdm shift **** on eBay from Japan. We'll see when it gets here. Anyone wants to buy a skunk2 shift ****, lmk. I'll post a fs ad also soon. And yes, red oem back seats.
@bentlycoop: Yep I know about hmotors. I'm looking to get mint wheels, refurbished is fine. I've actually tried contacting (calling/email) hmotors a few times for a few different parts and never heard back from them. But they are located very close to me, so maybe I can just drive oveR.
Gorgoeus car man!! Welcome to the club. I just got mine a few weeks ago. Cdm woth the red interior. Would love to ssee when its fully restored. My plans are the same as yours, restore. Good luck man!
Beautiful caR, siR! I don't care (but don't mind) much for the JDM fronts, but your ITR looks amazing! I'm definitely jealous!

The other day I was looking at some ITRs for sale and was thinking to myself.. "If I paid that much for a prestigious car, would I want to daily it?" lol..
Got all the fluids changed at the dealer, just something I like to do when I get a new car. She is running excellent, will try to get some good pics in a week or so when I drive it in a scenic area.
Installed some new oem pedal covers today. Gas pedal cover is quite the effort to get off haha. You can see the before and after pics, well worth it imo.
Another small update. I did the old zip tie trick with the shift boot, to keep it pulled up. Kind of tricky to get shift boot to go over the zip tie, but I finally managed it. I also have new oem rotors and pads, but I've never done brakes before so haven't started that yet.
