12V is fine.

I removed and tested the coil and still reads at 0hms. I'm going to autozone to replace . Should i try to start it after replacing?
Yes

And also I think this coil also went bad I tested it before and now it's reading 0hms on A-B and 10k ohms on A-primary winding. I have 1 year warranty thought so it's good lol. Should I also take in the icm to test?

Also, if you reset the ECU, does code 8 return?

^^^ Please respond.

Did you do the Ohm test on the coil prior to installing?

Return the coil for a replacement? Ohm test right out of the box prior to installing.

Yes I tested the coil prior to installing and it was fine. I cranked the car without the rotor does the rotor have to go back facing a certain wire way.
And wires cap and rotor are fine this distributor was running with the motor before the swap.

Replace the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor if they are old. Otherwise, you will continue to blow coils.

In addition, never crank the engine with any plug wires unplugged. This too will blow the coil.

Also ask AutoZone to test the ICM.

Replaced icm and coil car started RPMs now work but car dies no engine codes. i started it again able to keep it alive by giving it slight throttle. If I don't give it throttle it will stall out. I will try to see if starting fluid helps it stay on tomorow.

Drive the car around a bit. It's possible that the ECU just needs to relearn the idle setting.

You also may need to adjust the ignition timing.

I don't think it's possible to drive it its stumbles when I press the gass and won't go past 2.5k RPMs and I will adjust the timing tomorow .

Make sure the plug wires are installed in the correct firing order on the distributor cap, and keep monitoring for CEL codes.

Besides the ICM and coil, what other ignition parts did you replace?

I also replaced the spark plugs. The wires and cap the previous owner did before he sold it to me they look in good condition.

Properly gapped NGK plugs?

Do yourself a favor. Replace them. Buy Honda plug wires. A new aftermarket cap should be fine.

Is the rotor new?

Well previous owner replaced them because the alternator was in a box in the trunk. And I bought gapped Bosch plugs . I will replace cap and rotor and wire tomorow in the am. I will also check the firing order.

You should only use the NGK spark plugs recommended in the owner's manual.

Okay will these be okay to turn the car over? I'm kinda low on funds and just bought the cap and plugs . I won't be driving the car for another week so I will have money by then.

You may want to wait. There's some risk of blowing the coil again if one of the maintenance components (e.g., wires) of the ignition system is bad. In addition, a misfiring engine is not good.

I have new wires and a new cap I bought this morning . I would not be able to replace the Bosch plugs I bought until Friday.

Given the coil blowing issue, buy yourself the insurance policy (i.e., new rotor).
