Hello, I just bought my first car. It's a 1999 honda civic ex with 105k miles on it.
The dealer i bought it from said he put new injectors and spark plugs in. i test drove the car and it ran great. About a week after I bought it my check engine light came on. Codes p0170 & p0172

My buddy said this is my problem. The tip of that sensor had black electrical tape holding it in place. According to the carfax(I got after buying the vehicle) it's never been serviced.

 

I plan on getting the timing belt+ drive belts replaced. I'm concerned about this check engine light. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

 

After resetting ECU, does code return?

 

I haven't reset the ECU. To be honest I don't know how to.

I'm about to leave for work. I'll figure it out and reset it tomorrow morning. Thanks for the reply.
