As much as I would like to take that off of your hands, I'll offer you this instead (everyone with a kph cluster should have one):

HealTech Electronics Ltd. - SpeedoHealer v4

Alternatively, multiply your kms by .625 and problem is solved!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...since the speedo is the same...the numbers are just different, can we assume that it's just the gear in the ODO that's different? Couldn't one just swap the ODO assembly over and then it's correct to the car, but has the non-us style gauge faces? I don't know enough about the inner workings of the ODO assembly in our clusters, but...thinking of ideas.

Started digging into her over the weekend:

The rear bumper reinforcement was completely shot, forget the crash test, it didnt even survive my poke test haha

I went a little crazy with the angle grinder, took it down to the metal, then prepped it with a zinc phosphate coating

Then applied a liberal amount of POR-15 so that it's fairly Canada-proof

Oh yeah, and made it safe(er) to take it from behind again lol

The plan is to slowly redo most of the underside like this as time allows.

Doing really good. Working my *** off, love the new job, bought a house up in Santa Clarita, finally got the fiancée moved out to California last week. Car is still going. I haven't done **** with it but drive it lately, it's filthy and in need of some maintenance. Spends most of its days parked near the airport since I'm out of town so much. Finally got moved into the house but haven't been able to unpack the garage, I'm hoping to be home this weekend and to get it a little bit caught up before I head back to Indy for the month of May. My toolbox is even still wrapped up in plastic from the movers!

I think it's done electronically but I'm not positive. Some other make clusters can be converted by clipping a jumper or something similar, I've never looked at the Honda ones that closely. But if you use a speedo healer type device then the speedo and the odo will both be in miles. I built one back in school that work on the bench but I've never used it in a running car. It's much less elegant than the speedo healer too.

And I made myself look dumb driving home. The ODO and Trip on the USDM clusters are opposite from this...so its not just a simple swap. As for electronically., the speedo needle is in the same position on both clusters as the, the difference is the gauge face. As for the ODO, i would think that the VSS is the same part for both markets, so I would have thought that only the gearing on the cluster was different in the electro-mechanical part of the ODO. But...it looks like it would be a lot more work to get a cluster displaying kph and odo in miles, so...time to go back to reading.

I do see what you mean about slowing everything down, but then I'd have a 220mph speedo, and be sad when i get to 90 and have 130 to go until it's pegged, hahaha.

who wants to fly me down haha

I painted my side skirts. Just got the local NAPA to mix up two aerosol cans of NH-592P, let them cure for 2 weeks then hit them with 5 coats of clear, wetsanded, and polished, came decent for a rattle can job, I'll get a better photo of the metallic whenever we see the sun which could be a while here on the east coast lol.

I used the driveway and a sunny day here. When it stops raining in Washington is the time to attack outdoor projects and car maintenance.
