You know I think I'm not used to just how damn small it is, not so much the weight.
I've used the Buddyclub Type A and B for the last 5-8 years so I've never been used to having a heavy ****. The Moddiction one (I think it's around 400g) I only use in winter months when I'm bored and want a change.
The 8th gen oem shifter box isn't bad, alot like the Fit which was good as well.
What IS sloppy is the damn clutch pedal, I think the entire assembly is plastic or something, it's hella creaky and pops (all 8th gens I've driven is like this). I gotta spray some lithium grease up there or something

A buddy of mine has a 9th Gen and he just recently converted his CMC to a Hybrid Racing one... consists of a 6th Gen/GEH CMC and braided line. Sed it smooth and way betta now.
Scott can you walk me through the adjustment process? Does it change the engagement point? I'd like mine to be a little higher than the damn floor board lol
I sprayed the **** out of the pedal assembly with lithium grease and it helps but still creaks a bit and clicks.
I actually found what the clicking is. Where the CMC fork meets the pedal assembly, there's a gap and its basically loose, gotta find something to fill the gap
Also found some cut wires under/by the steering column, looking at the gauge thickness of the wires, it looks like something aftermarket. What say you peeps?
Yeah that's just an alarm system. Definitely not DEI since they do not use a huge gauge brown wire like that. Could have had remote start at some point too.
Tell tale signs are holes for LED light, residue on the upper center portion of the windshield, wires tapped at the ignition... etc. Most installers don't even solder those bigger gauge wires so just trace them back, remove, and tape up.
i was hoping it was related as to why nothing on my steering wheel (buttons/horn) works but I was trying to get away from a possible bad clockspring (which it most likely is)
but i just got the car aligned and i'd have to take off the steering wheel to change the clocksprings and i dont wanna lose my steering wheel straightness! ARGH!! lol
it's not like i ever had a horn or cruise in the GEH anyways amirite

Here is the DIY I followed. I had to go out and buy some short open ended wrenches because the normal sized ones wont fit. Yeah, It'll move the engagement point up higher. I have mine pretty much as high as it'll go and its about perfect. No more grinds into 2nd gear or 3rd gear at high RPMs. Takes a little getting used to but worth it.
thanks! Thankfully I dont have any grinding issues (knock on wood)
The kid I got the car from said Honda replaced the tranny under warrantee, but he also told me it had a PLM header when it has a stock header lol. I can tell someone at one point took off the clutch slave though, so maybe he wasnt lying?
I would recommend picking up the Hybrid Racing shifter bushings and base bushings kit. After pairing that with some synchromesh and adjusting my clutch pedal, the car shifts like butter!
